Install a new A/C system that's too big for the home, but use the existing ducts from the original, smaller system. Such as a 14" supply main duct on a 4-ton system. (Supply static pressure was 0.71, and return was 0.60 because both the return and the return box were original (2.5-ton system). Sigh.
